Malam Nanti Dunia Akan 'Gelap Gulita' Satu Jam
Bagaimana jika seluruh dunia serempak mematikan listrik selama satu jam pada malam hari? Tentunya suasana hening dan gelap yang akan terasa. Itulah yang akan terjadi Sabtu malam ini di sejumlah titik di dunia.

Mulai dari Opera House di Australia, Kota Terlarang di China hingga gemerlapnya kota Las Vegas di Amerika Serikat akan mematikan listrik selama satu jam. Hal ini dilakukan dalam rangka peringatan Hari Bumi Sedunia atau disebut kampanye 'Earth Hour'.

Ratusan juta rumah di beberapa kota yang tersebar di 125 negara juga akan ikut memadamkan listrik mulai pukul 20.30-21.30 WIB. Aksi ini dikampanyekan para aktivis lingkungan setelah pada konferensi perubahan iklim di Kopenhagen, Denmark, tidak ada hasil yang memuaskan.

Aksi ini diikuti oleh 92 negara. Daerah-daerah baru yang turut serta pada tahun 2010 termasuk Kosovo, Madagaskar, Nepal, Arab Saudi, Mongolia, Kamboja, Ceko, Paraguay, Ekuador, dan Kepulauan Marina Utara di Samudra Pasifik.

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) sebagai inisiator aksi juga akan meminta ikon-ikon dunia seperti Empire State Building dan bangunan Piramida di Mesir untuk memadamkan lampu. Kegelapan akan berlangsung simultan di seluruh dunia.

Aktivis Mesir Minta Dubes Israel Diusir
Puluhan warga Mesir berunjuk rasa di depan kantor Kementerian Luar Negeri di kota Kairo, menuntut agar pemerintahan Husni Mubarak mengusir duta besar Israel dari negeri itu dan memutus semua bentuk hubungan dengan Israel.

Para pengunjuk rasa menyatakan, Israel telah berulangkali melakukan pelanggaran terhadap tempat-tempat suci milik bangsa Arab dan Muslim di Yerusalem dan melakukan berbagai kekerasan terhadap rakyat Palestina di kota itu dan wilayah Palestina lainnya, sehingga sudah selayaknya pemerintah Mesir memutuskan hubungan diplomatiknya dengan rezim Zionis Israel.

Dalam aksi protesnya, para pengunjuk rasa melambai-lambaikan bendera Palestina, gambar-gambar Masjid Al-Aqsa dan foto-foto Kota Yerusalem. Mereka juga meneriakkan slogan anti-Israel dan kecaman terhadap para pemimpin Arab yang cenderung diam melihat pelanggaran-pelanggaran yang dilakukan Israel.

Unjuk rasa yang digelar oleh kelompok "Aktivis untuk Palestina" itu bukan cuma mendesak pemerintah Mesir mengusir Dubes Israel dan memutuskan hubungan diplomatik dengan Israel, tapi juga menyerukan agar ekspor gas alam ke Israel dihentikan serta membatalkan Inisiatif Perdamaian Negara Arab.

Egypt Activists Ask Israeli ambassador expelled

Nyatanya jalan itu buntu, seseorang dengan sadisnya telah meruntuhkan bukit kejahatan dalam jalan sempit ini. Aku memandangi anggota-anggota rombongan, mereka semua berwajah sendu. Kami memang tak punya helikopter untuk memastikan bahwa jalan ini adalah jalan yang lapang menuju tempat tujuan. Kami hanya punya peta kejujuran dan kepercayaan agar kami sampai pada tujuan kami.
